Laurens County First Steps is fortunate to have a dedicated Board of Directors and staff. We continue to examine our program delivery and practices in order to ensure positive outcomes for the children and families we serve. We know that the development of a child emotionally, mentally, and socially is the foundation for success in later life.
Our board and staff supports the financial investment as well as the training it takes to deliver high quality educational programs to our community.
Our primary program strategies are our childcare scholarships to provide tuition assistance to get quality care for children and the Parents as Teachers program for helping parents to realize their role as their child’s first teacher.
We also provide DSS approved training hours for directors and child care providers in centers in Laurens and surrounding counties. These training sessions are free to all participants.
We continue to focus on the need to always be prepared to change and improve our services.
